Friday 14th Sept. 1804 a foggy morning, a cloudy day and some rain the water is so shallow that we had to ward & ]]hall?]] the barge over the Sand bars. at 8 oclock we halted for to take breakfast the 3 men who went a hunting yesterday joined us here. the hills and praries are pleasant but barron. G Drewyer caught 8 beaver last night the masquitoes are troublesome. passed
