(or as sometimes, all drank of it as they pleased) All drank of this and rubbed it on their breast and bowels and gave it to their children & also rubbed them with it. Then all ate some of the roasted green corn. The barbicued meat was then divided out, and taken to the different houses in the town, & cooked. The flesh was pounded in a mortar & boiled, while the bony pieces were boiled with corn cut from the cob. Just before sun set, the speaker with a loud voice, directed the victuals to be brought. It was then set on long benches in the council house yard, so that all partook at the same time.
