Recommended an asst Surg [Surgeon] for Rg [Regiment]. Had Battalion drill. Works are in a forward state Tuesday, 23. Genl Dennis sent for me about 2 am moving course up from below. News is approaches us of a movement in front of rebels toward this place of Youngs Point. Crisis has come down there.
