X When the conjurer wished to know if there was to be a storm of wind, he made a fire as for sacrifice, and sprinkled on some old tobacco. Now if there was to be no destructive wind, the smoke ascended directly towards heaven, but on the contrary, a wind came & blew the smoke one way or another indicating the storm to arise.
