June Saturday 6 1863 {unclear] Bishop died this morning __bled to death from his wound__ Ric'd orders from Col Wood to prepare to move__Called a [unclear] He wishes Mr. Night [unclear] to go to Goodrich Landing__ Col Peebles has gone down to see [unclear] passed down last night Sunday 7 Heavy firing in direction of Vicksburg this morning. Had an inspection of Regiment under arms this morning Passed off well though very hot. [unclear] Bishop buried this evening. Rec'd order to send 4 companies to Goodrich Landing Companies were sent under Major [unclear] Rec'd letter from Sister Lib and wrote a reply__ have some fear of attach Monday,8 All quiet Rec'd letters from home and one from Mrs. chilcoli Wrote to Cozell [unclear] Jones__to Genl Hagen and to Miss [unclear..] about her sweet hearts [unclear] who she thinks killed at Fr [unclear] Was up town but got no news__have concluded to move camp to town to morrow..Forenoon very warm..
