From a Journal Repn on my "Secmel Trip" to California,

Monday April #rd 1854. We left Boston on 5 Delour this Pm for California. The 900 time, The Fall River would to New York

Our company emoister of Mr. Gale Wheeler, Mr. Winslow R. Bent, and Myself. Mr. Wheeler accompanies us to New York only. Have a pleasant passage. Overall on bound the Roar I was agonized with among them Mr. Cyprus Alpen of South Boston.

We arrived at the wharf in N. York on 7 October Am on Tuesday morning the 21 - and went strait to the Vm Nicholas Hooler where we are engaged Rounars.
