Wednesday, September 18, 1901

It has been raining all day, we all rose early and took breakfast, then our party went off in the Stage to New York to spend the day. with Mrs Thruston Ballard, of Louisville, who is at the Waldorf. Mr Stewart Bell will spend a few days in New York, then return to Mrs Ballard. at seven O. clock to night Mr Ballard went to the Depot, and in a few minutes returned in the Stage with Mrs Ballard and Misses Ballard. Mrs Shreve bought a large box of candy for family and some toys for the children, we all sat in the Music room and Adele and Susane played. I wrote a letter to Mrs Henry. Mr Badger wrote to Mr Shreve Badger. Elbert has gone over to the Wilson Cottage. Mrs Donevan is quite sick. Miss Jeane Boak of Chicago is quite sick, Mrs A.F. Badger and family are now at Mrs Boak,s making a visit and, in November the fifth, Mrs Boak, and Miss Jeane. will go to Mrs Octavius, F, Badger,s in Louisville and stay a few weeks, and Miss Louise Boak will come on later.
