Fryday 10th day we rise early to proceed on our march but find to our sorrow a large number of our best horses are missing we suppose they are gone back to the town out time does not allow us to go after them we are obligated to load every horse with as much as he can stand under and with much difficulty we begin to move at 10 o clock we come to unclear lake we cross the out let and halt a mile from thence we come to a town of the same name very beautiful the town consists of upwards of fifty houses which is burned at our entrance we march to their plantations where we encamp about one mile from the town we find the crops of Corn and vegetable very large and plenty which of great service to us and our horses and battle Saturday 4th Day we march at half past 5 this morning we find unclear which gives us much difficulty in getting our artillery and baggage over them. we march this carefully on land which had ben unclear by the savages who had suffered the wild grass to drive them of at eleven we cross a small hill which overlooks a large part of the country we here unclear unclear westward at five in the afternoon we come to Canayahgan which lay on the north side of a small lake in this town is about 30 houses. here we encamp thid thid Night we find fruitful plantations the houses are well built. here we leave part of our artillery and military stores under the corn unclear of light rayce of the artillery with the unclear of the army.
