I ordered an Infantry Escort for the trains - from the Post and have left cavalry detachments at Grierson's Spring & Stockton. Capt Keyes left the Spring yesterday with Companies "D" & "E" 10th Cavalry and Capt Lebo left Davis same day with Co "C" 10th Cavalry and to-day Capt unclear Kennedy? left Fort Stockton with Companies "J" & "L" and we expect to start to-morrow. The 4 companies, train, escort etc will come to gether at Pecos Falls from 40 to 30 miles north of this post and Co. K (Lebo's) will join the Column at Pope's Crossing of the Pecos. We have been very busy - since leaving Concho but - everything for the unclear
