so well at the old home & so grand a time generally presume unclear that you will all be ready & glad to start on your winding way to Texas & I hope that you will be glader and happier still after your arrival.

I'm writing this very hastily & have not time to read it over I as have much official matters to attend to & many persons to see & only a short time to stay. Will probably write to you again before leaving Davis.
