La Fayette December 20/53 Brother Nathan
I have been from home the last week and am going Again on Tuesday Morning but have felt uneasy About You all of the week if You can do nothing at ? and Your health is Such as You Say if the weather should be mild so You could & You think You Could enjoy Yourself With us you had better Come & Stay with us this winter. How You are situated I do not Know, or whether your wife would be contented where their were so many children or whether you could make your self Happy here living over store as we do. I sat down & wrote Sarah to day for the first time for three Years. I feel that I do wrong in not writing oftener but it is one of my faults Sarah wishes to be remembered to Your wife. Further if Your Health is so You can do nothing do not let fret You a particle. You have no little children to care for and it will only Hasten You sooner to Your long haul I hope I shall get a letter from You tomorrow if not, shall Expect to see one when I get back.
Your Affectionate Brother Erasmus N. Kendall
