Aug 21 [1926?] Dear John Was glad to get your letter. I have been on the unclear most of the time but have managed to get a l[unclear]] lot done. Everything is fine in the house and I needed it for I have really had a unclear of a time. Glad you saw older and glad you liked him. I knew you would. I wish you would use her unclear letter of introduction [Shipley]. I believe he is a very fine and able fellow but is the heart of the "Science League." I am curious to know all about him.
