to-day from the Headquarters Dept of Mo. stating that a large lot of mules had been stolen and ran off from an infantry command at a point south of Fort Dodge on the 15th inst. and that it was supposed that the thieves wold take the mules into Texas passing a route somewhat near Fort Sill and requesting me to use any effort to intercept the thieves and recover the stolen mules.
