Friday, May 17, 1901

Again we have a glorious day, all of us well, the gardens sand Fields are looking so beautiful, and the wild flowers all around us. Frances has had her whole lower floor well cleaned to day by Allen the coloured. The girls did the lighter work. Miss Mullen still at our dressmaking, Ada's new shirt waists came home to night after dinner Mr Shreve Badger and Miss Ada Badger went to Mrs house to a church sociable, it was quite large Frances has a bad headache, so did go. I wrote to Mrs Shreve, also to Mrs Tuttle at Kenosha.

I received to day an invitation from Madame Cyrus McCormick to hear some good Singers, at her house, I am afraid I will not get there
