La Porte May 26 / 63 Dear Sister Abby Your neighbor Mr Hamilton is here and will return tomorrow morning I will send a few words - I have had a pleasant chat with Mr. H. He came in search of Mr. Kendall's Horse - the horse is here, he says, all safe - Very good luck after having such bad luck as to lose the animal - Rather singular she should find her way back here to her old home - I am glad the horse is found and you will feel glad of course - Now it will be here, ready for M. Kendall when he comes & that will be soon I suppose - I shall be glad to see him here
