WSC Monday [Oct. 24. 1932] Dearest Irene; My trip to Chicago seems to have brought me good luck. Today I got very friendly and reassuring letters from both Douglass and Elsie, and my heart is a great deal lighter. If they will only a little candid I will go so much more than [?]! Also I forward a very reassuring letter from McNeny. I am sending you his letter and Hugo's by another mail, so that if Annie should talk to you and Carrie you would know all about the situation. Please send Bernard's letter back to me, as I wish to file it.
