N. Y. Mills, N. Y. March 5, 1893 Dear Cousins,

Your good letters with expressions of interest and sympathy came to hand yesterday and I hasten to write you of our appreciation of the source, also to thank you for your helpful letter of some weeks ago. Fearing Aunt Jennie has not yet had an opportunity to write you I will give you a brief outline of our life for the past few weeks. I came home on the 7th Feb. found Frank's condition quite serious and the question what to do? a troublesoe one to answer. He was coughing

in margins: I have written a long letter but it may not read very satisfactorily. There is so much to say & when there is one often leaves out the important thing -- All would send love We shall be very glad to hear from you again Lovingly yours Josephine
