Fort Gibson ((unclear)) May 8th 1872 My Dear Alice- Your letter of the 5th inst arrived this P.M. I regret to learn that you have not been so well as usual and earnestly hope you will never again let anything Louisa may hereafter write say or do trouble or annoy you. I do not agree with you that you are in a "chronic state of excitability" You are at times excitable but not more so than many other persons of my acquaintance. You have had a great deal to worry and annoy you in your past life and you natural good sense and sound
