No. 2 Dr. Schulin, Oculist Fort Cinster, Mont., June 16th - 1825 This is to certify that Dr W.C. Shannon has the following affection of his right eye. There is a hemorrhage in the retina, right below the yellow spot, around one of the bra of the Vena centralis retinae. The hemorrhage is of bright red color, apparently fresh. There are besides a few slight opacities floating around in the Vitreons. For at least three weeks he should not use his eyes. He ought to be in a recumbent position in a dark room.
