Thursday, July 3, 1873. Weather more rain. Felt bad all day. not withstanding my many blessings. received a letter from Aunt Kittie.

Friday 4 "Our Glorious Fourth" A gloomy day. with two heavy rains. Took a short ride. Mrs Winter sent me a package of nice? cake.

Saturday 5 Weather a beautiful day. A decided contrast from what it was yesterday. No letter from Mr Murray yet.
