Sisters & Nephews: I am reminded that it is Friday & that a letter written today will in all probability - reach you before Sunday. I suppose Jack's school is nearly out for the week & that he will soon be wending his way home. Wish I could do so as easily. Has Sarah been able to ride out much this week? Is she gaming [?] much in flesh? I wish she could get down the juice of two pounds of beef daily, & Anna [?] too. It would not [illegible; possibly "not S. get A. down"] but A [?] is at the [illegible] down! I wrote to John today, sending him some medicine [illegible]. [Illegible] written to his father? Have not been to Ann-[?] ellen [?] yet wonder what kind of a place it would be for practice. It is [illegible] and I think about 10 miles from Plainfield Much, Much love from Mary
