Utica May 20. 1871 Dear Sarah, As I had promised to inform you when I should be starting off West. I now try to fulfil my promise. If my brother will be able it is likely that we shall be starting on Monday eveng to reach the Niagara somewhere about 12 o clock that night and sleep there. I am sorry to say that my brother is not at all well he is not able to eat what is proper to sustain him his stomach is out of order for he has a continual throwing up and he thinks that fatigue brings it on.
