I went to see Mrs Pardridge about her servant William a colored man, she recommended him so I engaged him this afternoon I went to Lincoln Park and took Mattie Belle Adels family Hunt. Sheridan and Shreve went in the buggy. Dr Small called today that he had met Eva at the Falls and she was well and happy. We received a dispatch from Boston saying that Mr and Mrs Chas Angell had arrived safe and well at the Revere House Boston. Belle called to day to see me and invited Ada, Maddie Faulds to lunch Sunday June 14, 1874. Again we have fair weather cool and lovely. We are all quite well. No one went to church, this afternoon Mr Badger and Shreve went down to see Belle. also went to see his Fathers family my sister Belle not returned yet. George Meeker here today. Monday June 15 1874. To day is threatening with showers, Belle spent morning with us and took lunch, Mattie Faulds has gone there to stay a few days. Ada Jamie & I went to Field & Leiters,, returned home and stopped a moment to see Belle. then took dinner and went on the Boulevard to drive with Adele and baby, Ada and James went in the buggy. X Mrs James P. Kelly called to night, so did Mr Geo Meeker and Walter Gunn. My new man William Armstrong came to day he worked with Mrs Pardridge Teusday June 16. 1874 To day is cloudy and we may have rain. but it did not up to 12 for I was up at that hour, all well but Hunt he not very well, Belle came up to day with her baby Mattie Faulds came also. Misses Rogers called to day. I went down to see Belle, I went down town to pay some bills. Wednesday June 17, 1874 This has been a lovely day, all well, Mrs Ranson, Mrs E halle both called. we had beautiful letter from Mr Angell and Eva, This afternoon I went out to see the race on the boulevard was [[unclear] to night Geo Meeker calld James our coloured man left to night for New York Shreve almost broken hearted.
