October 20th 1841 Dear Sir, I have often promised myself the pleasure there would have been in performance of the duty you so clearly laid me under by the very friendly letters you voluntarily gave me when I left N.York for London. What duty I intended to have discharged long on this is giving you at least some account of the success which my labours have met with in this country.
