1866 Sunday January 14 Miss River – Cloudy foggy rainy + cold – Did not run far last night on account of the fog. Genl Meeting + the Episcopal service in the morning and at night by the Rev Shepherd of Montgomery Ala – Had some conversation with him + with a Presbyterian minister aboard – Read a good deal today Am getting tired of travelling + shall be glad when home again – All quiet today and no news Did not rest well last night – Took a nap to day
