Saratoga, June 15/55 Dear Brother,

I reached here safely but very tired Monday eve. Did not see the girls that night, as it was most time for them to go to bed, and I did not care for more excitement myself. We all rested nicely that night, they in happy ignorance of my arrival, and I in blissful consciousness of the same.
Next morning, after breakfast, the meeting came off without any very great commotion.

in margin: Brother, dear, do not mind what Mary says about not coming this week, for I want to be here when you come any way. I do not want to go home with anyone but you so do come tomorrow . I shall feel so bad. I shall not know what to do if you do not come. For I have been expecting you for two yesterday, and do not know how to bear another disappointment Yours, Lissie Robert
