MONDAY, June 11th 1855.

The weather still continuing clear and pleasant -

We laid by again last night - The captain says it is best to risk nothing as we have so long a trip before us - Arose this morning at 7 O'clock -

Three boats passed us last night while we were tied up. -

Passed "Kansas City" at 2 1/2 O'clock - 3 Steamers in sight ahead -

Landed at "Parkville" at 5 O'clock - Took on board Maj. Culbertson's wife and a daughter by another wife - very interesting family -

Bad place in the river and the 3 boats that passed us last night we over hauled
