& I can hear of none for rent good, bad or indifferent & it is next to impossible to get board where there are children. Mr. Walker is in town. I went up to see him this dark wet night, tired & unwell as I am but did not find him at home. I presume he will call & see me to-morrow. I do not know as I can make arrangements with him to take the books down to our farm & if not I don't know what we shall do. If I did not need the money so much I would not remain here confined in the office.
