                I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 26th. ult., and am instructed by the Commanding General to reply, as follows:
                        As soon as the Survey is completed by the Engineer - party, you will rejoin your proper station, and if in the meantime, you require Clothing, &c. for your command, you will procure these articles from Fort Griffin.
