Endorsement on Col. Grierson's telegram of Novbr. 26. 1874. asking delay until Hdqrs. of his Regt. reach Concho: MO. MIL. DIV. Hdqrs. D. T., Fort Sill, Dec. 6. 1874.

                            The Headqrs. of the Tenth will hardly reach Concho before March.  There is no necessity for Col. Grierson at that post before that time, nor is he needed at Fort Sill.  I approve of a leave for him to that time - or of this delay, if deemed advisable to grant it.

                                       Your letter of yesterday is just received and I will write at once, so that your Courier may start back in the morning early.
             I am glad to have heard from you before I leave for home which I expect to do on Thursday next.  I was fearful your command had suffered more from the storm than, thanks to your good judgement, it appears to have done - you have accomplished in common with the other columns all I expected and all you could have done and I am entirely satisfied with all.  I want you all now to get back as easily as you can to your posts and to put your command in good order for early work in the spring.  Morrow told me you has twenty seven wagons, though as I told him, I could not make it out.  You may keep your Hdqrs. team and Morrison may come in by Sill by returning train and take his chances for transportation to Richardson.  This will relieve you a little on the transportation question.  Nolan had better invoice his property to the proper Officers here and get other when he gets below.
            Conline's wife is about to be confined and I gave him a months leave.  He is to make his map up at San Antonio; as his Regiment goes to Concho you will have to manage to get on without him if possible.  You can take Lieut. Evans to Griffin with you and he can join his Company at Richardson, when you have done with him.  Nine teams ought to take you to Griffin, I wish Morrow to go with as much forage as possible, as he is
