My dear good wife

   I walked in from our farm to day in hopes of getting a letter from you but was disappointed.  I suppose there is a letter from you on its way trying to find me.  I came in to the station also to spend the sabbath and to write to you as I did not feel as I could remain out there over Sunday & I had no convenience either of writing there.
