50 or 60 acres & do the work on it we could undoubtedly get a good living from it, but if we come to rent it we should have to hire a house to live in & the rent of the farm would not half support us. The rent of 300 acres where our farm is would amount to about the same as 180 acres here. The rent of land there improved as ours is regarded as $3 per acre & hire at $5.
