During the summers March my overcoat becomes rather a nuisance. I threw it away but I have managed to get another better one so that I am again all right. I have a pretty good pair of [buskers?] gloves, but as they will not last all winter I would like you to send me a good [sevicable?] pair when you have an opportunity. The boys in the battery are in good spirits. they have plenty to eat and hear some good news every day. Johnny Hall and Wm Eakins are well and as it is about bed-time I must quit for the present.
