Providance Mar 27" 1863, My Beloved Brother I have been intending to write you for several days and although I have been quite busy cannot offer any excuse for not doing so. I certenly cannot justify myself for not writing often to such a Brother as you have been to me and rest assured of one thing Dear Brother your many acts of kindness and good advice will be a guide for me through future life wharever my destiny may be. your letter bearing the date New York Mar 13" was receaved a few days since. I have also receaved some phamphlets and papers which are very exceptiable indeed we do not get any reading matter here except St.Louis, Chicago, and Cincinnati Papers, and any Papers that you can send me I shall appriciate
