It is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing Gal. 4:18. Enthusiasm, then, is either good or bad according to the character of its object. Zeal for a good thing is good. Zeal for a bad thing is bad & The Bible sharply discriminates between the true and the false. Paul condemns himself for that misdirected impulse which drove him exceedingly mad in persecuting the early Christians.
