My Dear Wife,

We are at Memphis on our downward Passage, all well, Our trip is not quite as good as our previous one, although very good, -- I hope this may find you all in as good health as usual, I have not time to write more, I will write you again from Vicksberg. --

My love to all the family + please accept my best love for yourself + our little darlings
