Carl and Alice are vacationing in Lassen, near the Oregon border, which has become a busy spot for camping. I marvel that people can claim they enjoy mosquito-ridden sites, sleeping on wet ground, cooking with an inadequate stove, and using an outhouse in the name of fun.
