and I went down to Christ Church - where Washington worshiped during his six years in Philadelphia - and as Sunday was his birthday we heard special services. Every thing is just as it was several hundred years ago and we had a very pleasant morning.

Tonight it is raining and blowing and we dread the walk to dinner - but are going nevertheless. Mrs. Dillard and Miss Adams ask to be remembered to you.

Sincerely,

Georgetta Witter
