I will write a few words to you. This afternoon we have been under fire ever since the 19th. The Rebs fought harder today than ever before they just [more?] [illegible] the shell [illegible] is. there has been only one man killed in our Regt. he was killed with a shell. it went over our Company but did not hurt any but this one man.
