I heard in N.Y. that the unclear of a book of yours had been burned - accidentally - at unclear. I hope it isn't true, and if it is, that there's a carbon of it. But if it was Wind and Water I doubt the existence of a carbon. That would be a terrific blow. I hope to God it isn't true. Frederick writes me that things are smoothing over out at Iowa, that apparently everybody is willing to forget. He tells me he's trying to get Leigh to take him on for a lecture tour. But I must get to work - Are you still in New Orleans? And is the lecturing over? If you go to N.Y. couldn't you stop off here - it would be good to see you again.
