Chicago Arts Club Dear Miss Roullier, I take pleasure in your Club honoring me with your March Show of my paintings.
Some old friends surviving
among Chicago's most prominent politicians, business men, bankers, editors of whom I had for friends a hundred during my practicing architecture in your City 1896-1900 may stare bewildered at my change.
The whole press has so liberally
haunted? the pictures and my person that I have hardly any curiosity as to how they'll fare at the thumbs of the Drainage Canal -"Canaille".
What I am more anxious
about is that the paintings come back unharmed, unscratched.
I gave Mrs. Mary Harriman
a note that I inspected them and found them O.K and likewise in other pen Receivedunderlined that way Colors of Dawn has some small scratches in grey borderunderlined
