23 September '73 Dear Gladys,

We are sorry to hear about your leg troubles - do hope you have found a good quack to take

away the pains. we lazed away a quiet summer on my family's farm in Sussex - and counted cows, and pulled weeds, and drank a few pints of bitter, and ate fish and chips, and admired cathedral arches - A nice trip.

We hope you will feel better very soon. Love, Judy (Ray)
