John I expect the town of Hillsboro is deserted I should think the girls would feel very bad to have so many young men leaving there but it cant be helped we must protect our country and fight for it. I guess Cy and his crew will be here tomorrow. Al. Brown is going tomrow or next day as he is cheated out of his place here if he goes home tomorrow I will send this by him if not ill send it by mail I hope Cy will bring me some letters John if you knew how much good it does me to recieve a letter from home I believe you would write every day I believe you can write a more interesting letter to me than I can to to you.
