Oposite mouth Yazoo Jan. 24 - Dear Sister, I have once more got my tent pitched on land, the first time since we left Louisville. I think my cold is getting a little better but still can not speak above a whisper, and my throat is badly swelled outside and in. I have not been to the Dr. yet, but am useing Sugar Candy hot with Cayenne Pepper.
