Some of my friends whom I love and whom I believe love the Lord and who are aiming to do good live in such a hurry, there is no time for a blessing at the table no time for family worship, no time that I could see for secret prayer or Bible reading (I do not know how often the thoughts are raised when there is no outward form of prayer) and yet there is such kindness and brotherly love as is delightful to see. They seem to have few inward trials. In another family, there is discomfort disorder and passing a continual conflict between good and evil joy and grief, there is light but there is alway [sic] the cloud between, yet there is prayer in the family, paryer [sic] at the table prayer often and often in private and earnest prayer too.
