    This is the season for Bock beer.  I wish you were in Chicago to quaff a few Bocks with me.
    Did you read William Maxwell's novel on the great city of Lincoln, "So Long, See You Tomorrow"?  It came out several years ago.  In it he mentions the local bootlegger back in the roarin' twenties and also in the thirties - Coonhound Johnnie.  As a waiter in a restaurant in Lincoln, I use [sic] to serve Coonhound steak sandwiches on whole wheat toast.
   Jack, I hope "The Weed King" is a big success.  I look forward to seeing you one of these days.
