Dear Jack:

 This will have to be a fast note because we move back into the city today -

back to the hot asphalt & the soggy people. But I did want to let you know I got your letter and clippings before I got immersed in a new pile of papers -

 Something must have happened to Norman Macleod. He was writing an

avalanche of letters to me (with copies to Yale) but not a word for several months. Not a word either from his brother Robert Mills, who is now supposed to be my agent, as of May, but shows no sign of it, despite two long distance calls to his secretary (he is always talking on the phone to California when I call).
