Doctor Joseph Girsdansky 8 East 9th Street New York Dear Eleanor: Please advise that tramp husband of yours that Aesop's Fables are still on the job. The old "Lion & the mouse" has just been revived for his especial benefit. His very nice letter to my young friend who has written his first book, may bear fruit. This guy, Mel Levy, is pestering me now to get hold of Sherwood's dramatization of Poor White. He happens to be very influential with the Group Theatre, which is doing "Men in White" and insists that there is a very good chance of their buying it. If Sherwood is to be gone for a long time, he can perhaps let me know where to get hold of a copy. If he is coming back soon, have him phone me. Hastily but unclear the less sincerely Joe.
