Dear Mother Copenhaver
  We have difficulty breaking away from Marion - Must have been we didn't want to go & you

didn't want us to leave - I miss you all & will remember Virginia and her folk all my life - as I wrote sherwood [sic] it is another high point in my journey. Bravermann - crossed out Oh let's don't start that, but I know I will before the letter finishes.

 I didn't see Sherwoods Winesburg last Thursday as I was very tired after the trip - landed here

about 4 P.M. I wish I had - (tell Sherwood this, I didn't in my letter to him) Deeter subsituted [sic] the two young girl parts. A new girl took "Louise"

& Mary Esherick played "Helen" - I was talking to Jasper & he said they would alternate
