Dear Jack & Gladys -

    I hope that this

finds you both well. Other than an 11 day stay in the hospital in Jan. 78, I have been just fine.

  Spent 10 days in Okla.

City with Carol & family & met my first great-grand- daughter, Miss Jennifer Lynn Blakely for the first time. Carol's & Bob's first grandchild.

  We all found out in

June that Bob had termi- nal cancer. He died just

before Thanksgiving on Nov.

15 He leaves Carol with 3 children still at home - a boy 10 & 2 girls 13 & 16. I am so glad that so many of her adult children live nearby. They have helped her so much.

   I spent Thanksgiving with

Merry Ann, Fran & Gus. They are all fine.
